AYANEO, a company renowned for its Windows-based handheld gaming PCs, ventured into the Android gaming console market in July. The pre-orders for its latest creation, the Pocket Air, kicked off on Indiegogo at the beginning of September, and remarkably, the company has initiated the shipment of its first units to customers, despite the campaign having a week left.
The Pocket Air is available in three distinct configurations:
- 6GB RAM / 128GB storage, priced at $300 during the crowdfunding phase ($320 retail).
- 8GB RAM / 256GB storage, available for $380 during crowdfunding ($430 retail).
- 12GB RAM / 512GB storage, offered at $460 during crowdfunding ($520 retail).
According to the company, the majority of units shipped thus far belong to the highest-spec category, but a limited quantity of the lower-priced variants has also begun shipping. AYANEO has indicated that all remaining orders will be shipped after October 8th, following China’s National Day holiday.
