Samsung’s forthcoming earbuds, the Galaxy Buds FE, have had their official name confirmed, and intriguing details have surfaced through the manual disclosure.
Read on for the latest information.
Samsung Galaxy Buds FE on the Horizon
The renowned South Korean electronics giant, Samsung, first introduced its earbuds under the name “Galaxy Buds” back in 2019. Since then, the company has expanded its earbud lineup to include the Galaxy Buds+, Galaxy Buds Live, and the Galaxy Buds Pro. Last year, they unveiled the second-generation Galaxy Buds 2 and the Galaxy Buds 2 Pro. Now, an official Samsung website has officially disclosed the name of their upcoming Galaxy earbuds, which are poised for imminent release.
Prior reports had hinted at Samsung’s development of new earbuds under the model number SM-R400N, and multiple support pages for this device have already been published. The manual has now emerged on Samsung’s official Germany website, confirming that the upcoming earbuds will indeed be known as the Galaxy Buds FE (Fan Edition).
Images of the earbuds, their charging case, and wingtips have been revealed. Notable features include active noise cancellation and ambient noise support. Additionally, the charging case is equipped with a USB Type-C port, while each earbud boasts two microphones. However, it’s worth noting that the manual for the previously launched Galaxy Buds 2 Pro also indicated two microphones, while in reality, each earbud had three built-in microphones. This discrepancy may also apply to the Galaxy Buds FE.
Regarding its design, the Galaxy Buds FE showcases a familiar aesthetic consistent with Samsung’s other Galaxy earbuds. A clearly marked touchpad is visible, and users can customize touch controls to suit their preferences.
In terms of pricing and availability, the Galaxy Buds FE is anticipated to be competitively priced, fitting its “Fan Edition” designation, likely falling between €120 and €150 in the European market. Given that support pages for the device are already live on Samsung’s official website, the product’s launch appears imminent and is speculated to coincide with the release of the upcoming Galaxy S23 FE smartphone, expected by the end of 2023.
