EA Sports has unveiled the highly-anticipated top player ratings for the upcoming EA Sports FC 24, marking a groundbreaking moment as the game integrates both male and female athletes for the very first time.
Topping EA Sports’ list is the renowned French forward, Kylian Mbappé, boasting an impressive overall rating of 91. Remarkably, three other exceptional players, including two male athletes and one female, also share this coveted ranking.
Former Spanish national team captain, Alexia Putellas, stands tall with a remarkable rating of 91, alongside Manchester City’s dynamic duo, Erling Haaland and Kevin De Bruyne.
Following closely with a rating of 90 is Spanish international sensation Aitana Bonmatí, fresh from her triumphant victory in this year’s World Cup.
Among the esteemed players receiving a commendable rating of 90 are football icons such as Lionel Messi, Harry Kane, and prolific Polish striker Robert Lewandowski. Additionally, the list includes Australian sensation Sam Kerr, Belgian goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois, Norwegian winger Caroline Graham Hansen, and French striking sensation Karim Benzema.
Over the course of the next week, EA will gradually unveil the ratings of other players in Sports FC 24, commencing with athletes from the English Premier League and Women’s FA Super League, sparking anticipation and curiosity about where players like Mary Earps will rank.
In a noteworthy move announced back in July, EA pledged to introduce women’s football players into the Ultimate Team mode, integrating them seamlessly with male players. During a preview played by Chris Tapsell, Sam Kerr held an impressive 91 rating, identical to that of Mbappé, although it’s worth noting that this rating was not finalized.
As expected, players who share the same club affiliation, such as Kerr and Raheem Sterling, both representing Chelsea, will enjoy chemistry links, enhancing gameplay dynamics.
EA Sports’ Senior Producer, Sam Riveira, shed light on this transformation, explaining, “If you have different players, but they have the same attributes – the same height and the same weight – they will perform equally, regardless of gender.
From there, the variations mainly lie in player size and physical attributes. For instance, agility remains crucial for defenders, enabling them to effectively mark and defend against opponents. This inclusion will undoubtedly expand the array of players featured in gamers’ Ultimate Teams.”
