Google’s highly anticipated Pixel 8 series is set to launch early next month, and the Pixel 8 Pro, one of the upcoming smartphone models, has recently been discovered on Singapore’s IMDA certification website.
Google Pixel 8 Pro – IMDA Certification
The Pixel 8 Pro smartphone has made its appearance on the IMDA certification platform under the model number GC3VE. The device is listed as compatible with 3G, 4G, and 5G network connectivity, as well as featuring Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, UWB, NFC, and WPT support.
Notably, the Pixel 8 Pro received certification from Canada’s REL certification authority just a few days ago, and prior to that, it obtained FCC certification. Additionally, images of the smartphone and a 360-degree preview were leaked on Google’s website in recent days.
The official launch date for the Pixel 8 Pro is confirmed for October 4, 2023, which is just around the corner. Alongside the Pixel 8 Pro, Google will also introduce the Pixel 8 smartphone, Watch 2, and new color variants of the Pixel Buds Pro.
Google Pixel 8 Pro – Expected Specifications
Regarding its specifications, the Pixel 8 Pro is expected to be powered by Google’s latest Tensor G3 chipset. It is likely to feature an LTPO OLED display panel with a 6.7-inch screen size and a QHD+ screen resolution.
For its camera setup, the rear of the device is rumored to house a triple-camera system, including a 50MP OIS primary camera, a 64MP ultrawide camera, and a 48MP telephoto camera. Additionally, it is expected to have an 11MP front camera for selfies.
In terms of battery life, the upcoming smartphone is likely to be equipped with a 4,950mAh battery that supports 27W fast charging and wireless charging capabilities.
