Intel Finally Launches the Arc A580 Graphics Card
SHARE

Intel has officially released the Arc A580 discrete graphics card, making it available for global consumers starting today.

The A580 is equipped with 24 Xe cores and ray tracing units, boasting a clock speed of 1700MHz, though it’s worth noting that all currently announced cards feature an overclocked 2000MHz clock speed. Additionally, it comes with 8GB of GDDR6 memory on a 256-bit wide memory bus, delivering a memory bandwidth of 512GB/s. The card has a total board power consumption of 185W. In terms of specifications, the A580 closely resembles the A750.

The A580 was initially announced alongside the other Arc A-series graphics cards over a year ago. While three of the four cards were launched last year, the A580 remained out of the spotlight until now. Intel likely held back on its release because the A580 uses a reduced version of the same GPU found in the A750 and A770, waiting for a sufficient inventory of unused wafers from the 7-series before manufacturing the A580.

With specifications resembling the A750, users can anticipate performance that is quite similar. Intel’s target for the A580 is to provide a 1080p high settings experience and a high refresh rate experience using XeSS, the company’s AI-based image upscaling and reconstruction technology.

The A580 is currently available from ASRock, Gunnir, and Sparkle, with prices starting at $179. It will be accessible in all regions where other Intel Arc cards are sold.
