In recent weeks, Samsung has been progressively including more of its smartphones in the One UI 6 beta program. Today, we have two new additions to this program: the Galaxy Z Fold3 and Galaxy Z Flip3, both of which were released in 2021.
The beta program is now available for these two devices in Samsung’s home country, South Korea. If you are in South Korea and wish to participate in the beta program, you can do so by accessing the Samsung Members app. Look for the prominent One UI 6 banner at the top of the app, click on it, provide the necessary information, and, once completed, navigate to Settings > Software Update. There, tap on “Download and Install,” and you will receive the latest One UI 6 beta update, which is built on Android 14, as an over-the-air software update.
Please note that this download will likely be around 3GB in size, so ensure that you have enough available storage space and a stable internet connection to prevent prolonged download times.
Simultaneously, Samsung is diligently working on the first stable release of One UI 6 for the Galaxy S23 family, which may be available in the coming weeks. Older devices like the Fold3 and Flip3 will probably have to wait a bit longer. However, if Samsung can maintain a similar update release schedule to last year, the wait should not be too extended.
