Samsung’s One UI 6.1 made its debut with the Galaxy S24 Series, promising to extend the update to their flagship devices shortly. Now, Samsung confirms that the rollout of One UI 6.1 will commence by late March 2024, bringing along a host of Galaxy AI features as previously pledged.
The flagship devices in question from the 2023 generation include the Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23+, Galaxy S23 Ultra, Galaxy S23 FE, Galaxy Z Flip 5, Galaxy Z Fold 5, Galaxy Tab S9, Galaxy Tab S9+, and Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra. These devices will be the first batch to receive the One UI 6.1 update.
Moreover, Samsung confirms that the One UI 6.1 update for these devices will introduce various Galaxy AI features. Among the features to be included are Circle to Search, AI-based image and video editing, live translation during calls and chats, and Note Assist in Samsung Notes.
Previously, Galaxy AI features were exclusive to users of the Galaxy S24 Series, but now users of older Samsung flagships, specifically from the 2023 generation, will also receive them. It’s worth noting that previous-generation flagships like the Galaxy S22 are confirmed not to receive Galaxy AI despite getting the One UI 6.1 update.
