Qualcomm has officially unveiled its latest System on Chip (SoC) known as the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3. Representing the pinnacle of Qualcomm’s premium high-end offerings, this SoC introduces a plethora of new experiences that approach flagship levels, particularly in its AI capabilities.
Specifications of Snapdragon 8s Gen 3
This SoC boasts a unique CPU configuration. Built on a 4nm lithography, it features a 1x Core Prime Cortex-X4 clocked at 3.0 GHz, along with 4x Core Performance Cortex-A720 clocked at 2.8 GHz, and 3x Cortex-A520 clocked at 2.0 GHz. It is complemented by the Adreno 735 GPU.
The Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 supports displays up to 4K @ 60 Hz or QHD+ @ 144 Hz, with external display support reaching a maximum of 8K UHD @30Hz or 1080 @240 Hz.
It also integrates the Qualcomm Spectra™ Triple Cognitive ISP, supporting sensors up to 200 MP. Additionally, it introduces AI camera capabilities with real-time Semantic Segmentation, optimizing up to 12 layers of photos and videos for seamless foreground-background tracing.

The Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 will be featured in devices from various OEMs, including Honor, iQOO, realme, Redmi, and Xiaomi. The first devices powered by Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 are expected to launch in March 2024.
