Sony has made an exciting announcement by introducing a fresh lineup of colors for its popular PlayStation 5 console. Dubbed the “Deep Earth Collection,” these new color options are said to draw inspiration from the captivating and potent hues found in the depths of our planet.

This collection features three distinctive colors: Volcanic Red, Cobalt Blue, and Sterling Silver.

Volcanic Red stands out as a richer and more vibrant shade of red compared to the previously released Cosmic Red variant, which had a touch of magenta. The new Volcanic Red also boasts a metallic finish, lending it a glossier and more polished appearance.

Cobalt Blue, on the other hand, offers a deeper and more profound blue tone compared to the previously introduced Starlight Blue, with subtle hints of purple incorporated. Similar to the Volcanic Red, Cobalt Blue boasts a stunning metallic finish.

Lastly, Sterling Silver offers a straightforward, shiny silver hue, featuring the same metallic finish seen in the other two color options.

As with the prior set of color choices, the Deep Earth Collection will be exclusively available as optional covers and controllers for existing PlayStation 5 owners. Unfortunately, you won’t be able to purchase a brand-new PS5 console in these captivating colors.

The optional covers are priced at $60 each, while the DualSense controllers come in at $75. Pre-orders for these new additions will commence on October 4, 2023, with the Volcanic Red and Cobalt Blue options becoming available starting November 3, 2023, and the Sterling Silver variant arriving on January 26, 2024.
