vivo is set to expand its T2 series, currently consisting of two smartphones – T2 and T2x, with the imminent launch of the vivo T2 Pro in India. The unveiling is scheduled for September 22nd at noon local time.
The vivo T2 Pro is being billed as the “Performance Pioneer,” promising a fusion of exceptional performance and contemporary aesthetics. The promotional image released by vivo provides a sneak peek at the device, revealing a curved display with a centrally positioned punch-hole housing the selfie camera. On the rear, it showcases a dual-camera setup encircled by a circular ring flash known as Aura Light.
Interestingly, the design cues of the vivo T2 Pro suggest that it might be a rebranded version of the iQOO Z7 Pro, which recently hit the Indian market. There is also speculation that the vivo T2 Pro will be equipped with the Dimensity 7200 SoC, further fueling the speculation of its connection with the iQOO Z7 Pro.
The iQOO Z7 Pro boasts the Dimensity 7200 chipset and features a 6.78-inch 120Hz FullHD+ curved AMOLED display. It runs on Android 13-based Funtouch OS 13 and is powered by a 4,600 mAh battery with 66W fast charging support. Storage options include 8GB RAM with either 128GB or 256GB internal storage. The camera setup comprises a 64MP primary camera with OIS and EIS, a 2MP depth sensor, and a 16MP selfie camera. Additionally, the smartphone comes with an IP52 rating for dust and water resistance.
As the launch date for the vivo T2 Pro approaches, we anticipate receiving more information from vivo. In the meantime, you can view camera samples of the iQOO Z7 Pro that we captured last month when we had the opportunity to test the smartphone.
