Last month, Vivo made its debut in the V29 series with the Vivo V29e 5G in the Indian market. The company is now preparing to expand the series by introducing the Vivo V29 5G and the Vivo V29 Pro 5G. According to the official announcement, the Vivo V29 series is set to launch on October 4 in India. Ahead of the launch, Vivo has confirmed that the entire Vivo V29 series will be exclusively available through Flipkart.
For those who may not know, the global market saw the unveiling of the Vivo V29 series last month. The Vivo V29 is essentially a rebranded version of the Vivo S17, which was originally introduced in China back in May. Based on this, it is expected that the Vivo V29 Pro will be a rebadged version of the Vivo S17 Pro from the Chinese market. Vivo has also provided some key specifications of the Vivo V29 series through their official micro-site.
Vivo has announced that the Vivo V29 series will be offered in three striking colors: Majestic Red, Himalayan Blue, and Space Black. The Majestic Red variant will feature color-changing fluorite AG glass, while the Himalayan Blue variant will incorporate 3D particle technology. Additionally, Vivo has revealed that the Vivo V29 will weigh 186 grams, while the Vivo V29 Pro will weigh 188 grams.
The Vivo V29 Pro will also feature a Sony IMX663 telephoto portrait sensor, which is said to deliver a DSLR-like background bokeh effect. Beyond this, the Vivo V29 series will provide Night Portrait with Smart Aura Light. This Aura Light allows for adjustable lighting ranging from 1800K (warm) to 4500K (cool), as exclusively revealed by us earlier. Our report has also indicated that the V29 Pro will sport a 50MP Sony IMX766 sensor. The pricing for the Vivo V29 series in India is expected to be below Rs 40,000.
