In September of the previous year, initial reports surfaced about Xiaomi’s development of a flip-style foldable device to complement its Mix Fold series. This upcoming device, named the Xiaomi Mix Flip, was speculated to debut alongside the Mix Fold 4 later this year.
Recently, the Mix Flip obtained certification from China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology. Surprisingly, the certification discloses a notable feature: the Mix Flip will boast support for satellite connectivity.
Confirmation of its Android operating system and 5G capabilities is also provided, although these details were already anticipated. While the certification doesn’t divulge specific device specifications, some details have been leaked previously.
The Mix Flip is rumored to feature the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset and a triple camera setup resembling Oppo’s Find N3 Flip, complete with a 3x telephoto lens. Hopes are high that the Mix Flip inherits the slender design of the Mix Fold line. However, there is a potential downside, as availability may be restricted to the Chinese market. Only time will tell.
